The new cancellation policy has it's merits but I can't help thinking that the below statement should apply to shippers more than TSPs;

"# Avoid unnecessary cancellations by communicating

When a match is made, contact the other party as soon as possible and stay in contact with them throughout the transaction. Respond to emails and phone calls promptly. Many unnecessary cancellations occur because the customer and the TSP do not communicate well or enough."

In good faith you ask a question, place a bid and then listen for the pin to drop.... it gets very frustrating.

After 8 feedbacks...You have'nt figured it out yet that 20% of the listings are just listings for quotes only.Others expire with no decisions...

Try this entertainment...Get your calculator handy...

Go to the TSP directory and start adding all the feedbacks of all the providers.

Go to Uship's home page and find the year they were founded...I've read it but forgotten it.It could be 20003.

Take the average number of listings also from their home page.

Compare the numbers in the equation against each other.

You get the overall picture...

Whoh nelly I don't have time to do all that math! I figured as much regarding the quote thing and expirations but can't help and wonder where the uShip admins are regarding tsp obligatory services. Seems like you'd want to help TSP's make money so you can collect fees...

cargo networks has got it right. I would like to add, Uship is our toughest site because they enable Brokers and Non Dot compliant haulers to all look the same. If you are a specialized carrier of high end and collectible vehicles, you have to compete with uships "guidance" numbers. They are so bogus and when you go to explain why U ship numbers don't match your services, you ship red flags you. the other disingenuous thing they do is dont tell the customer that their fees are included in the bids specifically.
I think brokers, drivaways and haulers should have a symbol next to there ID name. Second every hauler should post his certificate of insurance for both Cargo and Liability. Maybe this site would then draw more bookings. 80% of my uship clients hate the non contact, no fee discussion policy, and the fact that Uship dictates how they can communicate.
No wonder they have such a low booking ratio.
I will say that their feedback system is good but their procedures and bidding practices are painful.
