| Hi, just want some information on Dot and MC numbers. I am looking for a company that lists only an MC number, but I can't find information on the Safer database, it says that the record is not found. Should I be looking somewhere else to check out a company? They list as being freight forwarder, but having 25 trucks and 35 drivers, I would have thought they would have had a DOT number as well, or am I just on the wrong track

You'll probably need the state they operate from also to narrow the search.

| Is this your listing that you are asking about? http://www.uship.com/shipment/30-foot-Bayliner-cruiser-246-on-trailer/467871561/ If so the bid you accepted is from a BROKER and they have NO TRUCKS or DRIVERS, they accept bids from shippers and then look for someone else to transport this for you. (they are a middle man ONLY) I also hope you looked at the TSP's profile and read what past shippers have said about them. Also make sure you use some sort of ESCROW Company that will handle the payment process since this is a lot of MONEY that you will be paying out to someone that you know nothing about before you even see your BOAT. Also ask for some sort of Insurance paperwork from any TSP's Insurance Company. If you need more info let me know and maybe we can help. Tony
This is a message to all the people that are using this site to ship something USE A DOT COMPLIANT CARRIER ONLY Its the Federal Law that anyone that transports ANYTHING for any kind of PAYMENT be a DOT COMPLIANT CARRIER. It doesnt matter if its as small as a BREADBOX or as large as a ARMY TANK the CARRIER NEEDS to be DOT COMPLIANT Ask for their INSURANCE COMPANY INFO before your shipment is picked up to protect yourself from loosing your item. I am now just using this site for ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSED ONLY and will not bid on or take a shipment from this site
