| My shipping has been complete, and I paid the $190 cash in person when he delivered. Now when I accepted a bid I made a deposit of $24.51 through pay-pal. When will I get that $24.51 back? How does it work?

| Well it looks like RALPH made an extra $24.51 on the deal, he was to only collect $165.49 from you and he knows this since this isnt his first time doing this. So it looks like you paid $214.50 for shipping your Bike NOT the $190 you thought you were going to pay, still not a bad deal but if you look @ it in BLACK & WHITE you were dooped. Maybe write Ralph since you have his email address now and ask for your money back or call him and ask or write USHIP and tell them you over paid him because he asked for the full $190.00 but you might be better asking Ralph because Uship is out of the deal once you paid the DEPOSIT. Next time you will know how the system works and also USHIP should word it different so the SHIPPER (you) dont think its a deposit that you will get back after its all said and done. http://www.uship.com/shipment/2007-Yamaha-YZF-R1/355901286/
This is a message to all the people that are using this site to ship something USE A DOT COMPLIANT CARRIER ONLY Its the Federal Law that anyone that transports ANYTHING for any kind of PAYMENT be a DOT COMPLIANT CARRIER. It doesnt matter if its as small as a BREADBOX or as large as a ARMY TANK the CARRIER NEEDS to be DOT COMPLIANT Ask for their INSURANCE COMPANY INFO before your shipment is picked up to protect yourself from loosing your item. I am now just using this site for ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSED ONLY and will not bid on or take a shipment from this site

| Once you make a deposit you receive an email letting you know the remaining amount you need to pay the service provider (the bid amount minus the deposit). The deposit is not refundable if the shipment takes place. Once the shipment takes place the deposit is credited to the service providers account.

seth@uship.com (12/18/2007) Once you make a deposit you receive an email letting you know the remaining amount you need to pay the service provider (the bid amount minus the deposit). The deposit is not refundable if the shipment takes place. Once the shipment takes place the deposit is credited to the service providers account.Thats funny! Credit it to our account. You mean it goes to uship for connecting the shipper and the TSP.

| Excuse me, duratrans, but it states clearly in the User Agreement Section 5. "Deposits" that the the TSP is responsible for the deposit, which is part of their contractual agreement with U-Ship (their "finder's fee" as it were), and that this amount is to be deducted from the balance owed by the shipper to the TSP. Don't be fooled!!!! Insist on this amount being deducted from your final invoice.

[quote]annwhal (3/21/2008) Excuse me, duratrans, but it states clearly in the User Agreement Section 5. (5) to mean the TSP is responsible for the deposit, as you state above? It appears to me (and that is what is accurate), the deposit is to be paid by the shipper at the time of the match and then deducted from the bid total, so the shipper pays the TSP the difference at the agreed payment time. There is one exception...."Book It Now" listings. Now who do you really think is paying the match fee? The shipper is, of course, because the TSP simply builds that fee in to their total composite bid. 5. Deposits. When a shipper accepts a bid, they are required to pre-pay a deposit in the amount of the TSP’s transaction fee.........
