It seems like there are a lot of loads out there that are not going anywere. There are also loads that the customer cancels and doesn't tell anyone that they don't need their stuff shipped. I think this needs to be addressed. It seems like a wast of time to bid and ask questions only to not have any answer. I think uship needs to charge the customers a fee to list and this could make the loads up for bid more ligitment. It might bring the amount of loads listed less but it will make the loads more real and not a ghost load. I think uship needs to email the shipper on a weekly basis to see if they are still intrested in shipping. Then the site could be cleared up and we could know what to bid on to make mony rather than wast time.

Just a little thought for what it is worth.

I think that is an excellent idea, "for uship to charge shippers a fee up front to list their shipment. I see shipments every time I get on this site that have 10 questions and 0 answers. I agree with whoever said this is a waist of ones time. Legitimate freight movers do not have the time to waist. Time is money and the difference in staying in business or going out of business. I feel Uship should charge a refundable fee to the Shipper. The charge is returned to the shipper once he has accepted a bid. If he does not accept a bid by the end of his listed date the shipper will lose the charge ad it should then be placed into a fund that lowers the fees for the TSPers...

I agree, I have spent hours on the computer. We are required to cancel our bids if we can't fulfill them, well it should go both ways.

I agree 100%. Uship is a great tool to use to find loads, but so many 'shoppers' who aren't ready to ship or just looking for a price.  A fee or deposit to list an item to be shipped would greatly reduce the phantom loads prevalant on the site. Even a few unanswered questions or ignored bids should be grounds to remove post. I understand it works in favor for the party listing the load, the longer you wait, the lower the bids that come in, but maybe a time limit for response time could even it up a bit.

I agree, too much time is lost on canceled shipments, or bogus listings.
