I just calculated the rates for a haul or two and that's nuts. 20.00 on a 100.00 haul? on a 2k haul it's 175.00. That;s fuel costs. Nothing free here.

Need way to find shipments starting and ending close to my state

One thing that would be a great help is if there was a way to restrict the search to be able to find shipments that start or end with in a certain distance of my home base in Michigan. Right now I have to go though all listing (huge amout of time to do) though out the country and try to find ones that start or end close to my home base. I try to find moves that start or end close to my state and then build a trip from there.

We would like to invite you to beta test of our improved Find Shipments tool. Since we moved to the new Find Shipments tool there has been a vocal response, telling us what we can do better, what is not working, and what has been an improvement. And although several posts called for us to revert to the old system, bidding numbers and efficiency has improved significantly since the switch.

In order to continue the improvements we have seen, we have again redesigned the tool - mostly small tweaks that were recommended by our Service Provider community to make finding and bidding on shipments easier. Selecting a category with a single click, faster download times, and adding pictures to the list view are just a few of the enhancements you will notice. We plan on adding even more robust functionality through additional filters and more mapping options in the near future. For now we would appreciate your feedback on the tool. Your comments and experience with the site is our top priority. As always we hope that our efforts are helping you grow your business everyday!

Hello, I am new to UShip and I have NOT been able to win any bids yet. I am beginning to get very discouraged, and in todays economy ... if I do not get some shipments soon, I will be in some real trouble. I am a pet transportation company that is registered with the USDA. I have a great set up with 28 vari kennels installed into my truck, my husband does all of our driving, I have an RV AC/Heating unit and an auxillary generator installed all my truck ... the works. I just cannot win any bids because of my lack of feedback most likely. What can I do to have a better chance of winning a few bids here and get some good feedback. PS. I have been operating for 5 months now, but I have only been on UShip for about a month. I also have volunteered as a transport coordinator for numerous dog rescues as a transport coordinator and have an outstanding reputation for the past 8 years. problems with search along route

i dont know why this feature ahs never worked for me ?? i travel often from my home in NM zip 88056 and when i choose to search along a route starting at my zip code doesnt seem to matter where iam going i get search results from all over the country here re some of the results from a search between my home and 93444

category problem

In searching for shipments to bid on, I choose vehicles for the categoryand driveaway only in the service area. It says it is loading at the top of my screen but I still end up with all of the vehicles listed for shipping. Can anyone help me with this?

LTL loads listed under TL Freight???

Why do LTL loads show up when I sprcifically search under Freight . . .TL Dry or TL Reefer? This drives me insane, I have to weed through all the LTL CRAP. Why even have catagories if you are going to put everything in together?

New Find Shipments Details

The Find Shipments console now features more shipment details and sorting options to make it easier to identify jobs you can service.

You will now notice additional information, including:
• Pickup and drop off timeframe
• Bid Info which includes the number of bids, number of active bids, and low bid
• Weight (or length for boats)
• The origin and destination will be marked as a business (B) or residence (R)

Using a new dropdown menu, you will be able to sort results by:
• Date updated
• Price
• Origin
• Destination
• Number of bids

This will make finding shipments more efficient so you can get on the road faster.

Hi, I have not had this problem before but the last few days my search map won't come up. When I click on "find" the page comes up but the map won't, it just keeps "loading" but never comes up. Thanks for any help.

Find Shipment Sorting

It seems that the "Drive-Away" Service Type filter actually does not work. If I select "Vehicles" as a category, and then just "Cars & Light Trucks" and "Recreational Vehicles" as subcategories, with only the "Drive-Away" Service Type filter selected, I will normally get about 1,000 vehicles listed, but the number beside the "Drive-Away" filter will usually be about 350. Experience in contacting the shippers has proven to me that many of them are not interested in having their vehicles driven. What gives? It would be nice if this could be improved. UShip Multi State Map

I am trying to use the Multi State Map. When I select a state, it is not highlighting anything. It remains white. I have to select or deselect all for anything to happen. Why can't I select a specific state?

Shipper needs to be charged a fee

If the SHIPPER is charged a fee to list a shipment, ETC $10.00, This would eliminate all the JUNK postings. I'm new to this site, but you see the same listings on other sites and they are all still open. How many bids under horses say "Accepted". Not many. I'm tired of spending my time bidding with little or no response. Thanks for your time.

Shipping lumber from east (Tn,MO or Ohio) to Idaho

Hi,

I am trying to ship lumber from either Ohio, Tennessee or Missouri. This just depends on who I buy it from. It would probably be a pallet of lumber 8-10' long by 48" h x 48 w if not less. It would be going to my destination which is northern Idaho.

Do you have any suggestions on this?

Is it worth using Uship for such a load?

Anyone know of truckers in these areas that do a good job and are a good rate?

Dear Mickey, or whoever. Was there a change over the last few months in the way you list a household move? Recently I have been seeing listings such as "5 bedroom house", without the comprehensive listing that I always saw before. If you made such a change, you should rescind it, because the previous way made for much more accurate bidding.

I'm having an issue with Uship's credit card verification. For some reason it popped up this morning and is now failing verification for EVERY ONE OF MY CREDIT CARDS!! I have checked the addresses of all of them, and am putting in the correct information, but every one of my credit cards is failing and now I cannot bid or respond to questions.

I'm a power provider with 100% feedback and have been a member for a long time. I need Uship to contact me ASAP PLEASE to help get this resolved and get me back on the road.

For a long time, I have day-dreamed about a concept like uShip. Think of the benefits of "shared-shipping." It's environmentally friendly, it conserves oil and other precious resources, can enhance income for travelers, and save shippers money. The technology needs to be enhanced to be the solution I have dreamed of . . . but this is an excellent start. As usual, government regulations are the enemy of efficiency -- but I suppose that there will be a lot of flying below the radar here.

Some suggestions to the uShip folks: You will need to expand your search capabilities, and then do a great job of teaching us how to use the more powerful tools. When selecting "from" or "to" states, how about allowing selection of multiple states? What about pre-defined groups of states -- e.g. New England, Gulf States, West of Mississippi, etc? How about your computer calculating the mileage for the trip and listing that is a sortable column? Then, you could take target price divided by miles and post a $ per mile column. Perhaps you could create a discussion forum for technology enhancements.

This is such a neat idea . . . how can we get the idea out to the world? There should be a multitude of listings here -- like eBay.

Shipments aren't showing up in "Find Shipments"

I checked all my filters and for some reason right now no postings are showing up in "find shipments" other than livestock and animals. I have reset all the filters and made sure everything is checked and I know there are a lot more shipments....everything says 0 next to it's description!!! I have active bids out there too.....any idea what is going on....I even tried to log off and then log back in and that doesn't fix it.....it's like there are no shipments out there???? HELP PLEASE!!

Ok. I'm a newbie here. A great tool for finding freight. I LIKE it. However, I can't seem to find the legend for determining what shipments have been completed and which ones not. I noticed different colored backgrounds on the listings,but haven't determined what means what. Any help greatly appreciated.
