I am right there behind you on this one Shannon, I guess he doesnt want to take my offer to get this straightened out and talk to the FDOT guy. I dont even have to know his numbers all I am wanting to know if he claims what he states is true what he has posted in his PROFILE? By talking to the FDOT I would take his word whatever he says.

So again my offer still stands, would you like to take me up on it?

As for people crying, why did you write that the numbers that are listed on the FMCSA web site are not yours when they are? I know you are going to say that you have two shops and the whole thing but why not just post the real ones it would of been a lot simpler? OK GO AHEAD TELL ME how I should stay on the porch when you are hiding in the dog house because your numbers are EXPIRED or REVOKED. All I can say is to PROVE ME WRONG POST THEM, otherwise whatever you say is meaningless because what I see and everyone else see is in BLACH & WHITE. NO OTHER BUSINESS comes back to you or that address or anything tied to you. If you want the name of the DOT OFFICER here in Florida that checked for me let me know and I will give you his info to tell him, then he can tell me if you have any Authority or NOT and he doesnt even have to tell me the numbers or anything just if you are LEGAL. Are you up to the challange?

The words "toilet paper" and "butt" come to mind! Got me another scuffle going today on another listing. I am competing against two brokers with little to no feedback who are bidding under the estimator and even under the max amount and only 200 bucks under me. I asked him if he knew what ASD was?

No, I actually do not believe they are going to do anything about it which is why I firmly believe that if a person doesn't like what is going on here just simply move on. I'm on the first leg of my last run here on this site and then off to new things. Just isn't worth it anymore.

Putting together a good site is the easy part. It is the marketing & promotion that is the downfall of a new site. It gets expensive.

Good luck and I do wish you well. But it has been done before with very little success. At least 6 sites that I'm familiar with have been developed and come on line to attempt to compete with uShip. All 6 were by former TSPs on uShip disgusted with uShip's policies and atrocious rates. All 6 were well funded and engineered. Unfortunately, none made much of a dent or received many listings. Whether we like it or not, uShip has an enormously strong infrastructure established. But good luck anyway....it never hurts to try.

I know you don't believe Uship will do away with it..Just like the CHEAP add they have saying 80% less. Don't really know how I made it back. I picked about 15 lbs. of Sugar Snap Peas (3 plastic shopping bags) and ate two of them driving back in the F-750. Damn they are sure good,Freash and Raw. I wonder if anyone took my Lic. Plate number and turned me in for littering as I bit off the end and spit them out the window. At least I won't get lost going back to needles, I'll have a trail to follow. Yes Ron live's right off the 40 but I had to really get back fast, as I'm buried, for the next two weeks, working for nothing as I really should only be charging what the UShip Estimator says less 80%. It must be that accute case of ASD, thats turning into dementia, because I really love driving my truck and eating those gourmet meals of Libbys Vienna sausgae and crackers. Who would want a Porterhouse Steak, Baked potato and all the trimmings, when you can have a luke warm can of Libbys' (clear soup and main course of meat).

Well good luck all, I'm beat and I have two trucks that need the oil and filters/lube done in the morning.

Mike ( is that really my name??????!!!!!!! I seem to remember just answering to CHIEF, but then, so did everybody else when someone poked thier head in the Goat Locker and said " Hey Chief". Must have been the onset of ASD back then.

How did you know I was out at my ranch, enjoying the solitude, here in Mohave County ,AZ. on my way back to San Diego, this ASD sure makes one tired and sleepy a lot. I was out looking for a new Insu. agent for the property!!!.

I met an old boy in Kingman that had the worst case of ASD that you could ever imagine. He was so happy that all he ever did was UShip work and did not work outside of UShip. I asked him why??? and his reply was, " I don't have to pay a lot to the IRS, thia way", I guess old old dogs still can learn every day!!!!????. Maybe its me that has the sevier case of ASD.

Maybe they believe uship doesn't report their earnings. Believe me they do. The brokers....they have their business and I have mine. After I bail from here I will never haul anything for anything lower than a set rate. They don't like it....tough tetas! Have a great laugh and take a look at the listings going into and out of WA, OR, ID and MT and you'll see what I mean.

By the way........ I've heard that there is at least one severe case of ASD reported as far west as Mohave Valley, AZ. It is spreading rapidly and I won't be surprised to hear of a case or two in the San Diego area soon.

The $1,500 bid I have on the Suburban from NY to IA is from a broker also. Now you know the broker is planning to make about 15% to 25% routinely so they'll probably book it on CD for about $1800. Now what happened to that estimator's price..... It is now almost tripled in the real world. I think that you can normally take the estimator's price and double it and be in the ball park of a fair price. But then that should be the "amount to me" figure so when you add the uShip service charge you're at about 110% to 120% of the estimator.

I have a bad case of ASD for those poor misinformed and mislead ones that believe it.....shippers and TSPs.

I just listed a 2000 Chevy Suburban from St. James, NY to Waterloo, IA (1,143.00 miles) for a friend. The uShip estimator comes up with.....$621.43. The basis is for comparable shipments listed below. The DAS quote that came up when I posted it was $1,831. I have a bid for $1,500 at the moment. At my standard rates, my price would be $1,395.....note that this is being picked up on Long Island and I add $200 just to go out on the Island. Now what is your opinion of the estimator's accuracy in terms of real prices in today's world?

Well now Jack.... I sure am glad you were the first one to post after the Montana Lady. Hell, I was afraid to and she already pretty much covered everything anyway. That is good advice about the 6 pak and call Tony at 2'30 am until you feel better. Works well for me...but it may not be doing Tony too much good. Aw, what the hell, he can take it. But......... it is ASD....NOT ADS! You might give someone the wrong idea.

OK What did I do that you guys keep having everyone "CALL TONY" I need my beauty sleep you know, its one thing to be woken up @ 2:30 in the morning but for all the right reasons.

I think I am going to have to have my phone calls @ night transfored to Don & Jacks phone. Its easy to do with Verizon Voice wing so if you want I can do it and you guys will be calling each other and so will everyone else.

I have ZERO sympathy for any of those people anymore. ZERO! I probably have the most severe case of ASD ever! That estimator is a big cause of all the problems. I sure as heck refuse to fuel that fire anymore. I'm definately going to take your advice to help alleaviate the symptoms of my ASD but I won't call TONY. He got in my business and jumped on my case one time back when I had that dispute and he didn't have all his facts straight so I doubt that would be of any help. I'm just in one of those moods.

Check out the boat from AZ to Wa. Shipper sent $ 1000 up front to tsp & no boat. I got a RED FLAG for posting that I knew he would take the lowest bid. I missed it by 50 bucks. I have 0 sympathy for him. You get what you pay for. Does any one think uship will help this guy get his $ back ?

I usually don't get that upset about things here because really nothing surprises me anymore but here lately for at least the last two weeks I have seen some pretty dumb listings asking for the impossible. A 2000 lb boat needing to go 3000 miles and the lister turns down 1600.00 (YES.....1600.00!) citing price too high! I asked them where did they get the idea that the 1600.00 quote was too high and they popped back off saying "don't get an attitude with me.......your own estimator says it's too high". I had another 6500 lb boat in OH needing to go to Blaine and once again they turned down 1800.00 (YES....1800 bucks!) citing price too high. Someone else asked why the decline and they also cited the estimator. I did the test myself and found some pretty retarded amounts coming back. PATHETIC......ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC!!! That's why once I fill these last few holes in my route I am done here. I ask for help on customer service issues and technical ones and I get nothing. The one thing I don't understand is how it could help uship's bottom figure, based that the "deposit" is based on the accepted amount of bid, when the accepted amounts are less. Not to mention the aggravation all the cancellations cause when the TSPs realize it is not possible to haul for that amount. You get flagged for telling the customer that "you get what you pay for". You get flagged for explaining the breakdown of your bid. What's worse is you have these customers with big nerves asking you to lower your bid to compete with someone that has 30% feedback! Then the same customers have the bigger cojones to come here on the forums to attack the reputable honest TSPs when you tell them I told you so. AND USHIP ALLOWS THEM TO DO SO!! I have mopped up after so many of those "cancellors" and 100% negative feedbackers that you have to sit back and wonder where is the benefit of this piece of crap tool???? Really.......where is it? I'm in a bidding war right now (just in case you find the listing, you'll see what I mean) where the other TSP bids LOWER than the estimator and always wins and then cancels. ALL THE TIME!!! I have mopped up after them, too (more than once). Yet they still remain here doing the very same thing. Then you have the very honest TSPs here that are forced to compete with these losers. Do they do anything about anything anymore? No wait a minute.......there are new useless features coming out everyday so maybe there is hope (RIGHT!) Add to that the estimator and the lack of tech help.................YEP! I'M DONE HERE. Sorry for the negative attitude but in this case and many others...... I believe it's more than justifed. The last two weeks it has just gotten terribly worse. You want some real entertainment........look up the RVs and boats coming in and out of WA, OR and ID. Look at the bids. Look at the bidders. Look at the profiles. That will make you laugh! You want to laugh even harder.....look up a couple of bikes going to MT and hold your ribs!!

A very positive attitude towards a negative situation!

The estimator, the sharing of stories by Shippers, the suspression of consumer education information, the multi-vehicle listing capability, the tapping into Ebay as a primary source of listings etc.......... is all designed to help feed the UShip bottom line. It is NOT, nor will it ever be intended to benefit the Carrier.

Some people just don't step back and look at the BIG picture.

The best way to bring about change is to step back and quit feeding the fire.

Not that it matters but after I fill in a few holes on already existing routes I am done here on this Walmart site. Uship can go wipe something with that estimator! Not to mention how tired I am of the " oh, it's your browser" excuse for every technical problem I have had with my uship page. How's that for "algorythyms", Matt. Thanks for nothing!

I would not want to keep anyone from getting rich off this site let alone really breaking even.

I do know some Brokers that are making a killing off the UShip site, by listing frieght here.

Good luck, I'll make my money the old fashion way, off the UShip web site. I know I will probably go broke working for $4.00 a mile, on a daily basis, but look at how much fun I'm having, eating Vienna Sausage out of the can ( two course meal: soup and meat) and chasing it with a pack of Costco peanut butter or cheese crackers. I actually got to sleep in today (0600) first pick-up in Poway(0800) and headed to Tucson. then picking up in Sierra Vista and going to China lake. I know I'm a glutton for puinishment, by not bidding on UShip, but like old Franky sang " I'LL DO IN MY WAY".

If you see me on a street corner some day hold a cup and some pencils, please drop me a dime or two.

All I can say is that the UShip Estimator is right on the money and UShip should Copywrite it, as its proven to never be wrong. Most people on this site continue to under bid it on a regular basis. Just think of all the money these savy Owner-operators are making. The only bad part is when all this equipment comes up for Auction, its so badly maintained that all its really worth is scrap, unless the buyer plans on using it to make his fortune on UShip underbidding the UShip Estimator.

I personnaly will not Bid because I do not want to cause one of these more Savey Owner-Operators to go broke.

Just remember the UShip Estimator has never been wrong just over priced!!!!!
