| Can someone tell me any rules and regulations for the interstate transporting of firearms? I haven't been able to find anything about it on the Uship website. Thanks.

I see that it is you trying to move? The best thing you can do is to transport your firearms yourself. Put them in locked cases if you can and put your ammo in a separate locked case that is in a different compartment of the vehicle. also remove the bolts/firing mechanism if possible; if not possible then put trigger locks or through-bolt locks on them. If you are not driving yourself, contact UPS or Fed-Ex and see if they can do it as Im not sure what a HHG mover can do. I know that I have always been asked to take care of those myself when hiring a mover. I have had movers move some of my fire arms before, but they were secured and locked in a gun-safe that is virtually inaccessible without the combo and key. Also it may be a good idea to check with your local gun shop and see if maybe they could arrange shipment from their shop to a local shop where you are moving to.
Hope this helps, and best of luck with your move.
Keep it legal!

| I am the one moving. I want to do the right thing. I'm shipping them from FFL to FFL via airmail. I don't want to take any chances, nor do I want to get anyone in trouble. Thanks for your help.

| I would have to check the laws of the states through which my belongings would travel. This could get rather tedious. Apart from the legality of the moving of firearms through different states, there could be other restrictions as well that vary from state to state - magazine capacity, etc. I think the best thing is to ship them from dealer to dealer.
