Hi,

I have placed an ad for a move I need to do for my StepDaughter.  The items I am shipping are kinda of odd -- some baby stuff some boxes a bike.  I listed this as a small 1 room studio -- is that correct (tried to give a good description as well).  As of yet, I haven't gotten a question or  a bid.  Did I list this wrong?  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

BTW: the end date (which I didn't have any way to change) is later than I can afford, is there anyway to fix it?

Thanks

You can always just do an addendum to your listing re the end date.

No offence to you, but a book it now price of  0.36c plm is not going to have anyone rushing to pick this up. Hauling is a full time business and feeds us and pays the bills.

Shippers sometimes have unrealistic expectations when it comes to pricing. Sure, I get that there comes a cut off point where it becomes uneconomical for the shipper to ship his goods, but that should give a clue that there is also a point where it is uneconomical for a TSP to offer his services.

Aside from that some routes have busier truck traffic than others and this is reflected by the number of bids made on various shipments. Take a look for example at something along the I 95 corridor it will attract many more bids than something from NH to NM. There are currently only 37 shipments listed here as coming back out of NM so the chances are the TSP would have deadhead miles and possibly a lot of them. Compare that to around 700+ listings coming out of FL!

I have no doubt that you will get your shipment completed and a match BUT that very much depends on your willingness to pay a realistic price for someone to provide you with over 32 hours of their labor time and equipment rental, insurance costs etc etc.

Sometimes it is just down to luck. You could also try searching fro providers that service that area and invite them to bid. Good luck - John
