| After doing some investigating about becoming a trucker, I decided that it just won't pay to do it myself. But I would be interested in maybe driving a smaller truck for someone else, maybe on a part time basis. Does anyone know if i have to go to a truck driving school if I am only driving smaller trucks i.e, pick-ups. drive aways, panal vans, ect. And where do I look for driving jobs like that, if they even exist? I am just south of Detroit which I have been told is a major trucking area? Thanks for any help.

| You don't need to go to driving school . There are expediting companies (FedEx Custom Critical , Panther) that use cargo vans but to make any money you need to own the van . Did you ever think about something like driving a shuttle bus for an airport ? For part time work there are always rental companies needing cars moved but the pay isn't much .
