Mickey,

One quick question: when you click on the detailed ratings link everyones link says N/A. What does that mean and when does it become applicable? Now it doesn't mean that I am softening up to the idea but how does it become an effective tool if it is not applicable? When it does apply will it be retroactive to all the previous history on that profile?

What I believe, and I may be wrong (was once before this year hehehehe) so don't hold me to it, but the ratings will not show till you have 10 completed shipments from the time that this_______________ (insert whatever you want to name it) was activated. As for it being reto-active I do not believe it will reflect for past shipments, since the shippers would have to come back and fill out the little forms they have for this. I thought thats what feedback was for, but thats where I was wrong (that one time hehehehe).

Viewing it that way it doesn't seem to be an accurate depiction or representation of the providers attributes, especially if they have had an extensive history prior to this new thing going into effect.

You started this post...for once, please finish the job.

That is...to do away with the "detailed rating". I was one of those asked by David Whitworth to preview this feature.

I agree with all the negative comments in this forum on this feature. In my opinion...it would only take 1 or 3 very critical shippers to change the look of any TSP's feedback unless we as TSP's REALLY kiss a$$ and it's still out of our control no matter how exceptional we perform. OR perhaps there might be 3 out of 10 who are just so indifferent and will just click down the middle "star" of every category. How fair is that?

I SAY KEEP IT SIMPLE...Positive, Neutral, Negative....And let them have their say.

Truth is...I get all the repeat business and word or mouth I can handle...I am getting a bit indifferent myself.

SO THERE...MY FIRST FORUM POST OF 2008.

The feedback saga continues.

The Shippers don't even pay much attention to feedback, Carrier profiles or anything else outside of the next to free transport prices(bids) You can look through this site and find  dozens if not hundreds of Carriers with multiple negative feedback indicating some real horrific stuff and then see that same Carrier(s) come right back and underbid on a given shipment only to have their bid accepted as if nothing was wrong.

One another note you see a much more aggressive suspension of accounts for the less than desireable performers. Unfortunately it comes at the great expense of victims.

!!Protect yourself and your property!!

Did you acquire and VERIFY the validity of your chosen Carrier's FEDERALLY MANDATED DOT & MC #'s as per the UShip User Agreement?

http://www.uship.com/user_agreement.aspx

Note: Did you know that NO active "MC #" = No COMMERCIAL insurance?

OOPS !!!!!!!

INTERSTATE" transport requires an ACTIVE "MC" number! You verify it at the Government's "REAL TIME" web site: http://li-public.fmcsa.dot.gov/LIVIEW/pkg_html.prc_limain

 Still don't understand? Read this:

I agree with you 150%. Even with the current feedback system there are problems, especially with the non-reading and less honest shippers. To add another feature that defeats the purpose of another one currently in place is just going to add to the confusion. I admit I am not perfect but I say what I do and do what I say and with the exception of the non-reading, less than honest one in my feedback my profile and history reflects that. If another feature is added to it I believe it will simply add to the confusion. As you can tell there are those customers out there that try to get away with murder but for the most part everyone is easy going and honest. As the previous poster commented I don't believe it will reveal anything new other than how much harder a TSP is going to have to work to fend off any negative comments by less than honest shippers. Again it is not going to be an accurate representation of how good a TSP really is, especially if it isn't going to be retroactive. To fend off any naysayers that believe this posting has ulterior motive due to recent developements......go back and read my first posting date. Didn't agree with it then and don't agree with it now. It kills the credibilty of the current already flawed feedback system.
