| Putnam makes one that does convert king pin to gooseneck. I don't know if it's heavy enough for a tractor trailer (big 80k set-up) but it does do two types of conversions in one small addapter. I have one up for grabs that I only used once since my old 1 ton had the GN hitch but I bought a new smaller truck right after the 1 ton was given to me and decided not to do big 5th whl trailers. I think I still have a picture of it posted somewhere on here.

it has a tractor trailer kingpin but the trailer has a 28,000 lbs gvw. i just need something long enough to fit into the bed of the dually. theres a pic of the kingpin on my listing.

| It should work just fine then. She comes complete with the B&W plate you will need. There is picture here on the "trailers for sale" thread.

| I need to correct myself just a second........the hitch adapter is rated at 22k but the GN hitch that was in my truck was rated at 15k. You do need a hide-a-ball system for this to work.

| i dont have the hide a ball system. i have the brackets over the bed. i have that system cause i pull both gooseneck and 5th wheel. i was looking for your pic but it didnt come up. i was reading that your converter, converts from gooseneck to 5th wheel. my trailer has a 5th wheel kingpin for a semi truck. its just not long enough to reach inside my bed. i need to either convert to gooseneck or extend. whatever gets the job done.

| I understand what you are saying now. It might work if you pulled the flex spacer out of it even with your system(take a look at the two chrome pins....you pull those out and there is another connecting point in there) but I think you need a little more height if you still have a stock bed. I used it with a stock bed and it worked great but I just won't pull any 5th wheels anymore for the prices these days when I can use my bed for other paying stuff. Let me know if the pic comes through. I am re-posting it now.

| I've never heard of one. All the ones I've seen are Rv setups you are doing a tractor pin all the rv adapters would be under rated for your trailer. Think your going to need a goose neck welded on. Just make sure a Certified Welder does it not just anyone with a welder.

I had an adapter for my personal camper, and hated it!!!!! Made the truck jump around and was NO fun to go down the road with.. The fifth wheel plate is SOOOOOO much nicer. I will never use on again..
Just my two cents worth
