It was on a boat that has already matched (atleast the one I was looking at). They had a reasonable figure in mind until someone came in and said if you pay more the $1-$1.25 your being raped, and that the industry average is was around $1.50. Mileage on this boat was close to 1600 miles, and bids were coming in at around $2200-$2700, and then this moron say's if you pay more than $2000, your paying to much. Go figure, someone willing to pay and this idiot say's "nah, thats to much".

| I have seen those type of comments on per mile rates quite a bit on this place. Quality van shipper (hmm.. wonder what happened to him and his vocal plan of becoming a legal transporter?) USED TO say "no one wants to pay more than a $1 per mile" or something close to that. It does not matter what you want to pay, rates are what they are (or at least rates should be). The LTL is from one the best marinas I have found, this is the last season for them. They are liquidating the boat inventory and I am taking back all boat toy stuff to the manufacturer/distributer. I was not the highest price, but also not the lowest. Renting a truck and flying back, still gonna do very well on this load after factoring in all expenses and considering half the drive time. LTL prices vary a lot depending on a lot of different factors, the big LTL carriers prices are all over the place. I am gonna spend a lot more time building a bigger customer base (brokers included) so I can one day use this site as amusement only, any calls from REAL boat movers with tips and help will be greatly appreciated and remember "no good deed goes unpunished" (I feel that way anymore). Did anyone notice the length of this paragraph? Gee, I sure can ramble on and on and on and on,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,.

I'm still waiting for the truckstop meeting with one of theasse (need spellcheck?) guys, but they ain't got the Kahunas, guess the keyboard makes 'em feel big. Don't forget, I am stupid.
