Wow! I've never noticed this before. When was this implemented? Sounds like the bad publicity from all the rip offs may be eroding some potential shipper's confidence. I wonder how this impacts uShip's position as a "neutral venue"?uShip's Ship with Confidence GuaranteeuShip is committed to providing its members with a safe marketplace for finding transportation services. While all transactions, including transactions completed on the internet, carry some degree of risk, we don't want you to have to worry about transacting on uShip. We are so sure that uShip is the safest and most secure way to ship that our guarantee provides protection up to $200 from certain types of fraud. What does the "Ship with Confidence" Guarantee promise?- If, after accepting a bid, you are not 100% comfortable with your Service Provider, you can cancel and your deposit you paid via uShip will be 100% refunded.
- In the event that payment is made to a uShip Service Provider and services are not rendered, uShip will reimburse your unrefunded payments up to $200.
- You will not be a victim of fraud as long as you follow our Fraud Prevention Guidelines.
What is not covered?- Physical Damage to goods (cargo insurance may be available from uShip and/or your Service Provider).
- Transactions that are consummated "off-site" as well as on-site transactions that are subsequently cancelled.
- Problems that arise from not following our Fraud Prevention Guidelines.
How does it work?- Every uShip transaction is automatically covered.
- Follow our Fraud Prevention Guidelines during the shipping process.
- Try to work out any issues directly with your Service Provider.
- Notify us immediately of any problems and give our Resolution Team a chance to help out.
- If we are unable to help you resolve the issue with your Service Provider, we will reimburse you up to $200.

It does NOT cover you if you don't follow their "Fraud Prevention Guidelines"....
Which means...... (Drum roll Please...)
If you choose a NON-COMPLIANT carrier or someone who does not specifically have the appropriate authority/licensing/etc for your specific shipment then you are SOL!!!!
Hmm... I think that covers most of the fraud on here, right?

| So, UShip is insinuating that they are fully aware of the fact that they have NON-COMPLIANTS hauling freight from the site, a violation of their own rules and yet don't even attempt to enforce the rules and verify a Carrier's credentials until something goes wrong?
!!Protect yourself and your property!! Did you acquire and VERIFY the validity of your chosen Carrier's FEDERALLY MANDATED DOT & MC #'s as per the UShip User Agreement? http://www.uship.com/user_agreement.aspxNote: Did you know that NO active "MC #" = No COMMERCIAL insurance? OOPS !!!!!!! INTERSTATE" transport requires an ACTIVE "MC" number! You verify it at the Government's "REAL TIME" web site: http://li-public.fmcsa.dot.gov/LIVIEW/pkg_html.prc_limain Still don't understand? Read this: http://forums.uship.com/Topic46915-14-1.aspx

| . There are so many TSP's who scream about Shippers who do not read the user agreement. Now let us not go off and not read the Fraud Prevention Guidelines which are for the Shippers and Also the TSP's to read in full. The Fraud Prevention Guidelines are fairly plain to understand when you read them all. It only covers a guarantee up to a $200.00 of your refund from what I read. But then I could be wrong. bumpus
