| I have been looking at items to haul and it seems that now matter what there is always a reason they don't ship. You say I can meet your price and they say somethings changed. They say I need it picked up ASAP and you say I'm here now and they don't get back to you. They seem like they enjoy the game of almost shipping more then they really want there stuff. What say you.

| That is the problem here no charges up front to list so it becomes......... let me check the shipping price on something I'm thinking about buying or shipping no cost to look.

| I would bet that at least 1/2 of the listings are just price shopping. Uship really needs to figure out a way to eliminate some of it.

| I have had my quote used lots of times to get a deal from some one the shipper had been already dealing with outside of Uship

| I think uship need's to collect a deposit up front so this stop's being a price check site, i've bided on quite a few job's and none of them shiped, they all exspired with none of them being done.

| I agree 100% with what was said about "price shopping". That's probably what half of these listings are.... I mean, I can totally understand (at least to a certain extent) the need to get some sort of ballpark idea of what it will cost to ship something they want to buy. OK, that's cool. But then after they get a rough cost, they just blow the service providers off. The best part is that after these chuckleheads decide they can't affford to buy whatever they're thinking of buying and get it shipped, they don't pull the listing off the site. They just leave it there; and like Joe Donut or Sammy Sausagehead, we keep on trying to get some sort of answer from these buffoons!! I agree that U-ship really ought to charge something for these people to list an item--even if it's only for something like $25.00. Even less, for that matter. Then maybe they'd be a little more considerate about wasting our time!! I also think that these people are allowed to keep the listings on the site for entirely too long. Three days or even a week (at the outside) is plenty of time to make a decision. If the "customer" can't make a decision by then, they need to pull the listing--or U-ship should pull it & make them spend a few more $$$ to re-list it. I mean, "crap or get off the pot", as they say.... (They probably don't say "crap"....) And by the way, let's not forget about the guy who spends twelve grand to buy a bike off of e-bay--and then cries about a $500.00 bid to carry the freaking thing 1,500 miles, saying it's waaaaayyyyy too expensive. I have seen that also, 10-15 bids on a boat and no answer to questions or to bids. Now if I see no responce in 3 days, I FLAG it as ABANDONED, you all know if you buy a car, boat, bike or any toy that you want to get it quick and will not wait for weeks to find a shipper, maybe if
we all did that then it might help in the long run, just my 2 cents, thanks to all who post, Wayne

| i see uship has a shipment estimator in beta that takes real data from actual booked shipments here to give them a 'quote'... i think that will help with livestock (horses) for instance to deter the quote hunting versus real i need to ship a horse shipments.

Everyone price shops, including all of us.
You did that when you bought your trucks, fuel, ins. etc. etc. etc.
If the price is not right you go somewhere else, everyone does,
including uship shippers and providers.
