| Uship is more like a transportation broker.... they have shippers post loads and brokers/carriers bid on the load.... when shipper gets the lowest price then uship gets 10% of the winning bid.... uship gets paid like the broker on the transaction.... do you think uship should be charging such a high fee if so brokers should not even bother bidding beyond what they can move the load for.... cause all brokers are doing is lowering the cost of freight and making the shippers get a general that it really is going to costs them that cheap to move their freight.... looking for any comments.... thank you for your time and God Bless!!!!

| I agree to an extent. I personally feel USHIP's fee's are way to high. Although they do give you an opportunity to reduce the fee on a sliding scale based on how many shipments you have moved successfully. It takes forever to get to that point.

| Maybe this is off point but I just spent 3 days working on a bid with a customer and everything is looking my way, which is good because Ive only picked up 1 load so far, and then bam, a BROKER, not uship, swoops in and cuts the bid down 150.00 and now im sure im out. I was not aware maybe my own ignorance that brokers were also using thisite. There is no way a little guy can compete with someone who has trucks available like a broker.

| Well, It is a double edged sword. Not every broker has available trucks. Most of them are hoping to find the truck after they win the bid. I honestly feel there is an up side and a down side to asset and non asset companies respectively. Asset based providers can guarantee a shipment can be picked up, on the down side - it might take longer than expected or the shipper might have to wait untill their truck is in the area. For a non- asset provider (broker) there is no guarantee for a truck untill the truck has actually loaded the commodity. On the upside, Brokers have limetless access to available trucks in the area. I think it all boils down to what the customer is needing. Do they need a shipment picked up and delivered ASAP, or can they wait till your truck is in the area. If they can wait, express the quality of service you offer and what separates you from the other guy. Good luck with your uship experience.
